Chess at Brunskill? Chess at Brunskill!I, for one, had an excellent time at Brunskill yesterday. Got to meet a few young whippersnappers who knew which end was up, suffered greatly at the trash-talking hands of young master Xiao, and even got in a few games with that old fart Roger. Blitz, bughouse, bratwurst. Minus the bratwurst, natch. All in all, a hell of a lot of fun. I strongly recommend club members take advantage of the new, improved, SCC club venue. Well worth the price of admission. A big thank you, again, to Rog for taking the initiative on behalf of the SCC! I won't be there on Monday because it's my mom's birthday (I'm serious, it's not just a your mom joke) but the week after I will give my early administration fee. :)

This Sunday and Monday I will be playing chess... ive been working on my chess a little lately so expect to see some new tricks.
Brunskill Blitz - Feb 1st
The first signature event of Monday nights at Brunskill will be the Brunskill Blitz tournament to be held on February 1st starting at around 7 pm. Time controls, tournament format, and all that jazz to be determined once we see who shows up.
Keep checking this web site, as an official announcement will be posted by the weekend. In the meantime, work on your speed chess skills and get all your chess-loving friends psyched!
