We are a motley assortment of people young and old who simply like to play chess. Some of us are good, and some of us are not so good.

The SCC hosts approximately 4 tournaments each year. Typically, a tournament consists of 5 rounds taking place over a Saturday and Sunday.

As of January 2010, we are meeting in the Computer Room at Brunskill School on Monday nights from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. The cost is $30 ($25 if you are already a member of a Community Association), or $2 per night. If you are a newcomer, the first night is free!

NOTE: There is no Monday Night Chess from May to September. Keep visiting this web site for announcements of future SCC gatherings.

We will be holding tournaments on at least one Monday night per month. The first will be the Brunskill Blitz tournament, to be held on the evening of February 1st. Check our Upcoming Events page for more details on this, and other events.

Chess at Mystic Java on Sundays A small group of us also meets at this delightful coffee house on Sunday mornings, usually between 10:00 am and 1:30 pm.
